The piano benches arrived a couple of weeks ago and the students were so excited to open them. I had a couple of students put the benches together and get them set up at each of the keyboards. The next day the students got to sit on them and felt for the first time how it feels to play with a correct posture. The students feel special and for our kids, that is something they don't alway feel. Their disabilities and challenges can limit their opportunities. Music gives them an equal footing with neurotypical students and that is so important for their growth.\r\n\r\nThey are now preparing for a concert for the holidays and are using these benches everyday. They are even storing their music folders in them and are taking such good care of them!!
