The students are busy engaging in instructed physical education lessons. Last year the teachers navigated the broken, lacking, and limited PE closet to find supplies. This year the closet is filled with an abundance of choices for materials that implement movement, teamwork, coordination, and creativity. None of this would be possible without the help of donors like you! Some of the students favorite activities from this year include; foosball tournaments, obstacle courses, flag football instruction, shuffle board basics, & ping pong. Many of the middle school students have never participated in these lessons outside of the classroom. We have seen improvement in coordination, agility, and self-motivated participation. During small group activities with the materials students are gaining a deeper understanding of the rules and concepts behind each lesson. Students are hitting shared learning goals in physical education while strengthening their social interactions with each other.
