My students and I have been so excited to incorporate them into our daily learning. One of the most memorable moments was the day the materials arrived. The students' faces lit up with joy and curiosity! Many of them eagerly jumped in, exploring and engaging right away. It felt like a mini celebration in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the resources to support a recent project focused on social-emotional learning. For example, during our morning meetings and small group discussions, students have been using the new tools to better understand and express their emotions. One student shared, \"I feel calmer when I use my breathing card\"—a moment that truly highlighted the impact of your generosity.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps will be to use the SEL materials to help students identify their emotions and practice coping strategies in real-time throughout the school day. These resources are helping us build a classroom culture centered on empathy, self-awareness, and emotional growth.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support—you've made a real and lasting difference in our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1730401533775,"projectUrl":"project/social-emotional-learning-in-mrs-ws-cl/8524418/","projectTitle":"Social Emotional Learning in Mrs. W's Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wood","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9510069"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54497","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":493,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":50,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":47,"percentIndigenous":5,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":59.4,"schoolId":54497,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Century Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Century Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-dakota/grand-forks-school-district-1/century-elementary-school/54497"}
