These materials have helped transform our classroom into a hands-on hub of discovery. The children are having so much fun playing grocery store and restaurant with the Calculator Register, counting out play money, and recognizing numbers as they ring up items. Playing \"grocery store\" and \"restaurant\" have become their favorite things to do during center play.\r\n They have also been constructing numbers using the magnetic wand maze and Construct-A-Number blocks to match physical quantities with their written symbols. The \"Construct-A-Number\" has been a favorite of my boys. They have been working hard with their construction hats to build numbers and to watch the learning taken place is magical. The Shape Sorting Center is helping students master colors and shapes. We even paired these with the story Snippets to make geometry extra fun! The classic Wooden Abacus and Rainbow Fraction Cups are helping us introduce the children to simple fractions and counting through joyful sensory play, all beautifully organized in the woven baskets.\r\nSeeing their faces light up when they work with these resources is a daily reminder of your kindness. All the children saw Clifford and I told them he would be waiting for them when they came their first day. The children were so excited when they arrived at school their first day. They went right over to their cubbies and grabbed Clifford. We did have a few tears but Clifford was there for them to hold and help calm them. The first day we read the book and the room filled with smiles and giggles. The children were so excited when I told them they could take the book and stuffed Clifford home with them. Some children continue to bring their stuff Clifford back to school each day to sleep with during rest time. They have taken up an interest in learning how to use these colored pencils properly and are trying new techniques every time we use them!
