Scholars who normally walk through our halls quietly stopped to read the words on the walls. That moment stood out to me because it showed how much the environment matters—our scholars could literally see themselves in a brighter, more hopeful space. What was once blank and uninspiring is now covered in messages that remind them daily: You are capable. You belong here. You are enough.\r\n\r\nThe reactions have been powerful. Scholars have pointed out their favorite posters to friends, taken photos of quotes that spoke to them, and even asked if they could help decide where the next set should go. These posters are not just decorations—they've become conversation starters, quiet encouragers, and daily reminders of resilience. I've already noticed students pausing in front of certain walls. It's a quiet reminder that even small words on a wall can shift a mindset in a big way.\r\n\r\nScholars will use the posters as reflections to connect affirmations with their own goals, while also tying those messages into college and career readiness by asking them to link the words to the grit and determination needed for their future plans.\r\nWe also plan to rotate the displays so that fresh words of encouragement greet scholars each season. Thanks to your generosity, our walls now echo the very values we work to instill: perseverance, pride, and possibility. You've helped us turn plain spaces into powerful daily reminders that our WECHS scholars are soaring higher every day.","fullyFundedDate":1750256096597,"projectUrl":"project/let-the-walls-talk-uplifting-messages-f/9376107/","projectTitle":"Let the Walls Talk: Uplifting Messages for Young Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Parks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4913918_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694610991453","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4913918"},{"teacherId":8478429,"projectId":8657637,"letterContent":"With much appreciation, I convey this heartfelt thanks to your kind heart for supporting the Project: Gifts to Inspire Students to Love Mathematics by donating learning equipment and tools for the Mathematics students of WECHS.
