What once felt like distant, futuristic technology is now something students can see, hear, and interact with every day. The 3D printer has opened their eyes to new possibilities and sparked genuine curiosity about what they can design and create. Students constantly ask questions about how it works, what it can build, and how they might use this technology in the future. For many of them, especially those who have never had access to this kind of equipment, this has been their very first close-up experience with 3D printing. That access has made a powerful difference. \r\n\r\nOur project began with learning the history of 3D printing and exploring the different parts of the printer so students could understand the technology behind it. From there, they moved into designing their own personalized keychains in Tinkercad, carefully modeling their names in 3D. The most exciting moment for them has been seeing the connection between the digital model on screen and the physical object coming to life on the printer. Watching the printer move and build layer by layer has captured their attention in a way few other tools have. Our goal is to print a keychain for every student before the end of the school year so each one can hold in their hands something they designed themselves.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and making this experience possible.
