Our back to school bin has the basic tools for scooping, pouring and picking up the various pom-pom balls and chain links. This play center has endless possibilities for early learning, language, social-emotional, and fine motor development. All the students in the classroom have been found eligible for special education services. Some of the students are our movement friends who love to wander and explore toys around the room; some like to be in control and play on their own, while others can't wait to interact with peers and teachers. No matter what type of student comes to join sensory play, there is something for everyone! \r\n\r\nAt this time, the sensory bin is full of colorful items with many textures so our new preschool students can explore different sensations. There are learning tools in the sensory bin so students can practice motor skills such as scooping, pouring, and using tweezers. The language opportunities are endless!! The sensory table and materials have provided a much-needed learning opportunity for students to explore and learn through play.
