With the addition of these books, we have been able to expand access for multilingual learners and further diversify our library collection in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThrough collaboration with our ESL teachers, we have already begun putting these books into students' hands. We hosted book \"speed dating\" events so students could quickly explore many titles, and we've built in time during independent reading for them to peruse the new selections and find books that feel familiar, engaging, and welcoming. The excitement from students has been immediate — many were thrilled to see books in their home languages represented on our shelves.\r\n\r\nThese books are doing more than filling gaps in our collection; they are helping students feel seen, supported, and confident as readers. They also create new opportunities for language development, cultural connection, and classroom collaboration.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping us build a library where every learner can find a book that speaks to them.","fullyFundedDate":1762315309337,"projectUrl":"project/one-library-many-languages-supporting/9832796/","projectTitle":"One Library, Many Languages: Supporting Diverse Learners at GHHS","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson, Brooks, and Dry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5987633_orig.png?crop=320,320,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761236295741","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5987633"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1841","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2306,"numTeachers":142,"percentFrplEligible":40,"percentAsian":38,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":46,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":73.6,"schoolId":1841,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Green Hope High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Green Hope High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/wake-county-public-school-system/green-hope-high-school/1841"}
