One of our first projects is to design a bubble wand using CAD, and the students had a blast testing out their designs. Students have then been applying their CAD skills and creating unique parts to put into their other class projects, including creating pieces for a marble run! They really enjoy being able to bring their ideas to life. I have also been able to use the printer to create items needed for lessons without having to purchase anything, such as quickly printing a funnel to use filling bottles of soapy water to help clean up mock oil spills.
