Thanks to Donors Choose, I felt this moment several times using our art supplies and creating our anchor charts. They were created for multiple learning objectives, including prime numbers, factor trees, and properties of mathematics. They were designed and created by the students and displayed in the room as anchor chart reminders of the skills that we were focusing on. Our assessment data improved and our district and state scores increased.
