This fall we have been busy making homecoming buttons. In fact we made so many we ran out of small plastic round pieces that go on the top and had to order more from Amazon!\r\nI also let students make buttons of people, TV shows, musicians that they love. As you can see by one students hat, he loves Elvis! Thank you for making the art room a safe space where students are free to express who they are. You may think Elvis buttons are a small thing, but they mean a lot to the students who make personalised buttons. \r\nAgain, thank you so much for contributing to the school spirit of our school. We have a pep rally next Friday, and my homecoming court girls will pass out all the buttons we made in the art room. \r\nWe could not have done this without your help!","fullyFundedDate":1751905447807,"projectUrl":"project/new-button-maker-needed/9443341/","projectTitle":"New Button Maker Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Henderson-Hunsucker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp13305_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y9&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1585935209766","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-henderson"},{"teacherId":13305,"projectId":9322092,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generious donation. We were able to purchase fancy alchol markers which are so much better than crayola markers. In addition, the project paid for several bottles of Elmer's glue. Many of our glue bottles were clogged and unusable, even after I soaked them in warm water and used a paper clip to dislodge the stuck glue inside the cap. \r\nBecause of your help, my students had the tools they needed to be successful. This fall, we did a heraldry project and used the markers. The Coat of Arms project was a huge success. The students researched the different branches of their family tree and used the last names of their ancestors and symbols important to them to create a new coat of arms for themselves. \r\nAgain, thank you so much for helping our rural, small high school in the foothills of the Sauratown Mountains.","fullyFundedDate":1746560863076,"projectUrl":"project/resupply-at-the-end-of-the-year/9322092/","projectTitle":"Resupply at the End of the Year","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Henderson-Hunsucker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp13305_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y9&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1585935209766","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-henderson"},{"teacherId":13305,"projectId":9202874,"letterContent":"I am so excited to have a new sewing machine. This is where I keep the markers I purchased with this project. \r\n\r\nToday one of my Art 2 students was coloring with the cheap markers and I told him, why don't you get the nice markers in the cabinet by my desk, they don't leave streaks like the cheap ones do. \r\n\r\nI have another student who loves Japanese drawings and uses the fine point Sharpies we recevied exclusively. I put the kits on old cafeteria trays so they can easily start back where they left off. The lego kits are a great activity for us to use at the end of class. \r\n\r\nOne good thing that has come about because of the kits is now kids are asking, hey what's this ferris wheel in London?
