In most of the trade industries today, workers use battery operated tools that offer power and convenience. Being able to provide students with the same type of equipment they may be using in the workforce gives them a chance to become familiar with the safe use of these tools. Drill drivers, reciprocating saws and grinders are some of the most common types of battery operated tools used in the trades. Having the type of equipment used by the trades will allow us to broaden the types of projects we are able to do and better prepare our students for the workforce.
