This simple strategy has helped them slow down, focus on what a problem is asking, and determine which information is most important. Rather than simply looking for numbers and immediately beginning a calculation, students are learning to become more thoughtful and strategic problem-solvers.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic dry-erase Cartesian plane has also been especially helpful in making abstract mathematical concepts more visual and interactive. Students are able to see, manipulate, and discuss mathematical ideas in a hands-on way. The markers and coloring materials allow students to organize their work visually, differentiate steps, highlight patterns, and demonstrate their thinking in creative ways. These resources have helped create a classroom environment where students are encouraged to think, explain, collaborate, and learn from their mistakes.\r\n\r\nI am especially proud to share that these resources have supported a classroom culture focused on perseverance and academic growth. My homeroom class achieved a 100% EOG passing rate, while my second-block class achieved an 87% passing rate. Although many factors contribute to student success, having accessible, engaging materials has helped me provide students with additional ways to interact with challenging mathematical concepts and demonstrate what they know.\r\n\r\nYour support has also helped me make learning more engaging for students who may not always feel confident in mathematics.
