My students will be enriched by reading the novel Frankenstein. As they are reading, they will be exposed to a wealth of vocabulary words that will take them to higher depths. Additionally, while reading, they will complete activities such as circle maps to describe the main characters, making inferences about key events, drawing pictures to illustrate an event from the book, completing foldables, and other creative activities to bring the book alive. It is my goal to help my students connect to the novel and gain an experience that will last a lifetime. Giving the economic background of my students, this will afford my students the opportunity to prepare for high school and beyond. I want to be one of the teachers who can say I helped my students become the lifetime learner that the 21st Century is looking for. The Lapbook will be an artifact for students to keep as one of their personally created memory books.

About my class
