Your generosity has brought meaningful resources to our school's wellness space, and I am honored to share the positive impact you've made.\r\n\r\nAs the school counselor, I am fortunate to have a dedicated classroom space where I can welcome students for individual and small group sessions. The floor-length mirror, now our affirmation station, has become a powerful tool in my work. When students visit my office, we use the mirror and the surrounding affirmations to encourage positive self-talk and self-reflection. The mindfulness journals, hourglass timer, and Zen sand garden are also wonderful additions, providing students with opportunities to process emotions, manage stress, and set personal goals.\r\n\r\nOne particularly inspiring moment happened with a student who was struggling with self-image. After a session focused on identifying personal strengths, I invited her to the affirmation station. Her eyes lit up as she read the 25 affirmations surrounding the mirror, and she carefully selected three that spoke to her. As she said them out loud, she seemed to shine with newfound confidence and agreed to repeat them each morning before school. Moments like this remind me how powerful your support truly is.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I plan to continue using these resources to help students build self-confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence. We are working on a project where students will create their own affirmations and artwork to personalize our wellness space even further. I am also developing group activities that encourage students to support one another and celebrate their unique strengths.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for making such a positive difference in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1742955609732,"projectUrl":"project/you-are-enough-building-confidence-and/9061955/","projectTitle":"You Are Enough: Building Confidence and Positivity Together","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lipscomb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2306342_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750389561434","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2306342"},{"teacherId":2306342,"projectId":9165324,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of the \"No Hunger, All Focus: Snacks to Support Student Success\" project! Because of you, I was able to stock my counseling office which is a converted classroom that serves as a welcoming wellness space for my students. Together we made healthy snacks and bottled water available for them as they prepared to navigate the end of the school year.\r\n\r\nMy office is a safe, supportive environment where students come for individual check-ins, group sessions, or simply a moment to regroup during a busy day. Having access to snacks like fruit cups, Skinny Popcorn, Rice Krispie Treats, and bottled water made a significant impact. It helped meet their basic needs and added a layer of comfort and care that helped them to feel seen and supported.\r\n\r\nStudents are always excited when they notice the snacks that are available. Their faces light up, and you can see the immediate sense of relief. It's one less thing for them to worry about. For many, it makes the space feel even more inviting and calming, especially during high-stress times like exam season.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide snacks . It helped create a more nurturing environment where students can focus, feel safe, and know they are valued. Because of your kindness, every teacher received a special packet containing bubble wands and motivational stickers for each student in our school.\r\n\r\nOur students used these resources as part of a school-wide social-emotional learning (SEL) lesson focused on managing stress before their state exams. The bubble wands became the centerpiece of our \"bubble breathing\" activity, where students practiced deep, mindful breaths to help calm their nerves. The motivational stickers were a wonderful touch also, because our students love wearing them and putting them on their laptops.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was seeing the excitement on students' faces after they first received their bubble wands and stickers. I noticed students practicing their bubble breathing in the hallways, supporting one another and sharing smiles.\r\n\r\nThis initiative truly made a positive impact on our school community. I was so pleased with the outcome that I am already planning to repeat this activity with our incoming 6th graders when they arrive in August. 🙂\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this meaningful experience possible.","fullyFundedDate":1739754175604,"projectUrl":"project/state-test-stress-less-teacher-sel-clas/9061235/","projectTitle":"State Test: Stress Less Teacher SEL Classroom Kits","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lipscomb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2306342_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750389561434","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2306342"},{"teacherId":2306342,"projectId":9138883,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous financial support that allowed us to provide headphones to our students—an urgent and critical need at our school.\r\n\r\nThe headphones arrived just in time and have already made a tremendous difference. In our often busy and crowded classrooms, they help reduce distractions during virtual lessons, allowing students to focus better than before. While they don't eliminate every distraction, these headphones have empowered many of our students to engage more fully, participate confidently, and access their learning in ways they couldn't before.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped remove a significant barrier for our students, ensuring they have what they need to stay connected and succeed. The weighted animals, in particular, have been a huge hit, with students actively seeking them out when they need a moment of calm.\r\n\r\nThe organizing cart has been invaluable in allowing me to discreetly provide essential items to students in need. Recently, I was able to offer pads to a student who came seeking them, and it was incredibly fulfilling to know that I had these resources available. This moment highlighted the importance of having such items readily accessible, and I am grateful for your role in making this possible.\r\n\r\nWe plan to expand on this project by incorporating mindfulness sessions using the weighted animals.
