Over the past three weeks, I have gotten to know my biology students and how they learn. I have determined that 75% are more hands-on/experience learners. Using this equipment in the classroom can give the students a hands-on experience as well as a chance to have a full class discussion about what they are seeing in a microscopic image. Currently we have very few microscopes in the school and none that are digital. This project could be implemented into a project-based learning goal where students learn the cell cycle by finding the different phases among the microscopic world that will be opened up to them.
