These stools have made a noticeable difference in the flow and efficiency of our daily instruction. During small group activities and lessons, both my assistant and I can ensure that every student has a dedicated seat, which helps maintain focus and reduces unnecessary distractions. With adequate seating now available, students are more engaged and ready to participate in learning activities without delays or disruptions.\r\n\r\nPreviously, we often had to move chairs from different tables to the teacher table, which took time away from instruction and caused interruptions. With the addition of the new stools, that problem has been eliminated. This change has not only streamlined our classroom routines but has also created a more organized and supportive learning environment. The extra time we've gained each day is now used more productively for student learning and interaction, making our classroom more effective. Thank you so much for your donation, which has helped my music classroom receive 20 new books to enhance learning! What I love most about these books is that they span a range of cultures and ethnicities, including 8 bilingual-Spanish books and 4 books that tell the story of indigenous groups in North America. The books will be reflecting the cultures, values, and faces of my students, and there is nothing more powerful than a child being able to see themselves in a story. \r\n\r\nBelieve it or not, I don't just teach music in my classroom! Students learn about other cultures through the songs, dances, and games I teach, and also through the books that I include in every lesson. \r\n\r\nEvery week, there will be a featured book (or two) in my lesson plans. The book may fit in with a celebration like Hispanic Heritage Month or simply fall into a theme of \"animals.\" I read the books, but also have songs and dances that will be connected to the story - sometimes, I even create these songs myself to add a little more depth to the book. \r\n\r\nI'm excited to start diving into all of this new literature with my students!","fullyFundedDate":1734544329062,"projectUrl":"project/expanding-imaginations-through-literatur/9008418/","projectTitle":"Expanding Imaginations Through Literature","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Black","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp399897_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752613134137","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/399897"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1788","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":356,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":39,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":42,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.0,"schoolId":1788,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rocky Point Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rocky Point Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/pender-county-school-district/rocky-point-primary-school/1788"}
