I have 22 Kindergarteners in a low income school. About 75% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. Many of our kids are from broken homes or homes where employment is the largest issue at the moment. Most do not have access to technology anywhere other than school. They have a desire to learn and get very excited when we use new tools. Music is one of the greatest tools that we use everyday. They learn so many new things when we put them to music. Some of my children have special needs and music tends to bring them out of their shells. Visual aids are also an important part of our daily routine. It helps with language development, curriculum retention, and making learning fun.
