I have received and started using the small-group materials, and my students absolutely love them! Having the items I need for small-group instruction has made it easier to work with students on their individual learning needs and provide more hands-on learning opportunities.\r\n\r\nThe whiteboards and small-group materials allow my first graders to actively participate, practice new skills, and show what they know. I love seeing their excitement during our small-group lessons and watching their confidence grow as they learn. These resources have already become a valuable part of our classroom, especially as we continue building strong reading, phonics, and writing skills.\r\n\r\nI am so thankful for everyone who helped make this project a reality. With your complete funding of our classroom project, you've provided my students an environment for learning that is welcoming, supporting, calm, and engaging for all students. We're going to be able to use your gift to get some great hands-on learning materials (e.g., literacy materials), many sensory supports; lots of different kinds of seating options; lots of tools for reducing stress; fine motor development activities; cleaning products; and many things that help us support students' ability to access learning at various times during the school day.\r\n\r\nMy students are already getting good use out of the Write & Wipe Alphabet Practice Cards and magnetic word builders to help them practice their letter recognition, sound awareness, spelling, and beginning reading skills. Our Write-and-Wipe Clocks are being used to develop important math and life skills. The Fine Motor Peacock Pals, Sensory Balls, Rollers, Fidgets, etc. are providing multiple ways for students to improve their fine motor strength through interaction. Our Calm Down Area is one of the most exciting new areas in our classroom. The Sensory Tent, Weighted Sloths, Sensory Bottles, Comfy Floor Seat, Colorful Pillows, Rug and Calming Materials have enabled us to establish a Safe Space where students can take a break from their learning and regulate their feelings before returning to class. It was really special seeing my students discover these resources for the first time. They were very excited and interested right away.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the above-mentioned items, your donations allowed us to purchase the cleaning and sanitizing products necessary to maintain cleanliness of our shared learning materials and classroom environments on a regular basis. In the future we will continue to integrate these materials into our Literacy, Math, Social Emotional Learning, Fine Motor Development and Daily Classroom Routines. I would like to create a classroom where my students can grow in independence, communication, self regulation, confidence and academic abilities while feeling safe and supported as learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a tangible difference in my classroom by supporting my students and trusting me in this endeavor.","fullyFundedDate":1787585576949,"projectUrl":"project/little-learners-big-needs/10464444/","projectTitle":"Little Learners, Big Needs!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. S","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10585428"},{"teacherId":8119511,"projectId":10467756,"letterContent":"I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible generosity and support of our classroom through DonorsChoose. Thank you for believing in my students and for investing in their education and future.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I see every day how having the right resources can make a meaningful difference in a student's learning experience. Your generous donation will provide my students with materials and opportunities that will help make learning more engaging, hands-on, and enjoyable. These resources will allow my students to explore new ideas, participate more actively, and build skills that they can carry with them beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhat may seem like a simple donation to you means so much more to us. It sends a powerful message to my students that their education matters, that their dreams matter, and that there are people in their community who believe in them. Your kindness helps create a classroom environment where students can feel supported, encouraged, and excited about learning.\r\n\r\nI am especially grateful because your generosity helps me provide experiences that I might not otherwise be able to offer my students.
