We have already put so much of it to good use. All the clarinets and saxophones have reeds now. The trumpet that was missing a mouthpiece (and using one of my spare, second hand ones) now has his own and reports that the trumpet is much easier to play. The percussion section is using the new bass drum mallets, and just in time for our Fall Concert as we have rolls on the bass drum that require two mallets and even though our bass drum is messed up, the good mallets do make it sound a bit better. \r\n\r\nAs we head into our first concert, these materials will help our growing program. We've grown from 40 last year to 65 this year. We are getting ready to prepare for our winter concert and then there is always music contest/festival in 2027. Having these materials to allow students to perform as they are supposed to on instruments is a blessing.
