My students have enjoyed reading these books on their own and we also use them to open a topic with the cute interesting stories we now have. We study coral reefs, whales, sharks, seahorses, coastal birds, fish and much more in our marine science class and these resources have helped me to create lesson plans, projects, and activities to teach my students about marine life. \r\nOur new books have also given my students new activities to complete hands-on labs that help them to understand marine life even more. These labs are easy to complete and require minimal extra materials. The labs have been easy, fun and meaningful for all of us.\r\nReading in my classroom looks comfortable and relaxing. I have a reading nook where my students sit around on ottomans and check out our new growing library. We use lamps and the new covers over our overhead lights that look like we are at the beach to set the mood of reading and relaxing. Students love the way I have decorated our room.\r\nI have a few students that ask to read when they are finished with the learning activity of the day.
