They run to class everyday because it is first come first serve. This is nice to see. They love when I turn off the overhead lights and they get an ambience that they feel calm and comforted by. I am pleased to say, this makes my heart happy. Sometimes they try and put more than one person on a bean bag just so they can all gather together. Teens. You think they are grown and then you realize they are not. They are just larger versions of little ones. They have needs and issues like all of us and having a space that feels comfy and safe in a school is nice to have. Kids learn better when they are comfortable. No doubt about it.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for providing the necessary equipment to make the room just lovely. I have never been this late before. However, the impact that travel has given the kids you helped is immeasurable. The growth can not be quantified, it just happens in small ways. You see it in the independent and confident looks they have when faced with a challenge. Students taking trips is one of the highlights for me. They never think they are going to \"grow\" and learn anything they don't already know, and yet, they do. They always make me smile and laugh while nodding my head as I watch them navigate the unknown and conquer it: all unknowlingly. I have watched kids try out new languages, food, experiences, and museums. The impact of travel will last them their whole life. \r\nThank you again and again. \r\nTruly. I have already had multiple requests of \"Ms Anderson, where can I buy one of those?\", or \"Ms Anderson that is so silky and nice\", even, \"Ms Anderson, this be my favorite room now!\" and all of these comments bring me great joy indeed. \r\n\r\nI have to say that the kids are so happy to be in a bean bag chair, out on the rug, to just stay out of the desks they have been in all day long.\r\n\r\nThe students enjoy the lighting in the room as well, making them feel relaxed and comfortable.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for making the end of the year less stressful and more enjoyable to many students: especially the ones that just don't fit into a desk very comfortably, have issues with flourescent lighting which is harsh and unforgiving for me as well. The subdued lighting really makes for a more comfortable setting.","fullyFundedDate":1743635761293,"projectUrl":"project/making-the-classroom-vibe-just-right/9210097/","projectTitle":"Making the Classroom Vibe Just Right!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Anderson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1991523_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1480429962869","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1991523"},{"teacherId":1991523,"projectId":9039171,"letterContent":"My students were so excited when they saw the bean bag chairs they literally whooped and hollered, and then they all ran to see if they could sit in them. I told them first in had first choice. I have had an increase in students trying to get in on time: a total win for this classroom. \r\nAs you saw from the photos, especially the larger size student, has found comfort in sitting now as opposed to trying to squeeze into a chair not made for their body size. Students love to read, write, and lounge in the chairs. They even took their test on the iPad in the chairs and were extremely good about it. I am super pleased. \r\nThe composition books have come in so handy since we journal almost every day now. The idea of writing is not something my students are comfortable doing, so having the books, the pencils (which most students need) gives them the opportunity to express themselves. \r\nI can't tell you how appreciative I am of your generous donations. The kids keep asking me to get more bean bags, I wish I could. \r\nThank you so much for helping me out. It has truly blessed all the lives, even kids who are not my students, want to come in and sit in the chairs.
