Hello, I am a librarian in an elementary school in rural North Carolina. I've been a librarian for 14 years with 11 in public schools. I live for the moment a student finds the right book for that exact moment in their life. A good book becomes a memory which can be triggered by sights, sounds, and even smells. It becomes part of your soul. I also believe that once a person knows how to do research, no one else can control what they know and what they believe. Knowledge is power and librarians serve to empower others.
