Many of my students arrive at school hungry or unsure of when they will eat next, and having access to snacks during the day has helped them stay focused, calm, and ready to learn. We use the snacks during long instructional blocks and testing days, and I've already seen students more engaged and willing to participate because their basic needs are being met.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, my students were genuinely excited—and incredibly thankful. Several students asked if the snacks were really \"for us to just have?,\" and their smiles said everything. For some, it was a relief to know they wouldn't have to worry about hunger while trying to concentrate. The sense of care and support they felt from donors they may never meet made a lasting impression beyond words. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, these snacks will continue to support our daily learning by ensuring students have the energy they need to stay attentive and motivated. As we work through upcoming lessons and projects, students will be better able to focus, collaborate, and persevere through challenges.
