Our current Raisin books are tattered, and the pages are falling out from so many years of teaching them and reading them aloud in the classroom. My thank you package would have been up sooner; however, I have just started reading Raisin with my students this past week. We are focusing on historical context, the poem \"Harlem,\" and the subversion of complexity within the internal and external conflicts of all the characters. Students have started brainstorming ideas about characters emotionally, psychologically, and physically on our Promethean board, and have started doing body outlines, each group choosing a different character from the play to focus on. These should be complete in a few weeks, but I wanted to get the start of our Raisin fun up now and give a big thank-you to all the donors. Your money is being put to great use at Page High School! Thank you! I hope I can add some more photos later on to show finished products, and also show parts of FRQ essays to show how students understand the subversion complexities in the play, something they will see on the AP exam.","fullyFundedDate":1766358478596,"projectUrl":"project/ap-literature-wants-a-raisin-in-the-sun/9919756/","projectTitle":"AP Literature wants A Raisin in the Sun!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O'Connell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7681839_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1641301715726","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7681839"},{"teacherId":10246875,"projectId":9947996,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations.
