The displayed books check out at a much more frequent pace than do books shelved traditionally. Having so many easels made it possible to showcase more of the books and rotate the displays frequently.\r\n\r\nWe have a large Hispanic population, and those students love to see the books in Spanish. Reading in one's native language makes one able to read in English sooner! Thank you for helping me to get more of these books for our students. Native English speaking students are also intrigued by the books in Spanish!\r\n\r\nEach item I requested was dearly needed, from clear book jacket protectors to the atlas, from easels to books in Spanish. These books fit in the Dewey 700s category: Sports and Recreation. While most of the books I selected are sports--and esports--related, there are a few for students with other interests: gaming, art, crafting.\r\n\r\nI'm featuring these books, and it's getting the students excited again about nonfiction.
