As the boxes arrived, students had no idea but the excitement began to build within the school staff. We were able to sort all of the items within our refrigerator and storage cabinet. After putting together the snack cart. It was time to load it up, as well as a second cart that we already owned. The carts were housed in the Social Worker and School Counselor offices, but the carts are equipped with wheels that allowed us to move the snacks wherever we needed. \r\n\r\nOn the day that the snack cart debuted, students were excited to see the great and tasty variety available. From cereal cups and bars to various chips, healthy snacks, and water...there was something for everyone. Given our students' long day and lack of a cafeteria due to our location in a building on a college campus, this cart was extremely helpful. It kept the students nutritional needs met between meals and classes. Students could also take a snack home if they needed it. \r\n\r\nThis project was such a help and blessing to our school community, and lasted through the last day of school.
