Students are using the cups during skill-building stations to work on hand-eye coordination, reaction time, focus, and teamwork. One of our favorite moments so far was watching students challenge themselves to beat their own stacking times, cheering each other on and celebrating improvements—whether big or small. The cups have also been used in cooperative group activities, where students must communicate and problem-solve together to complete stacking patterns.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the Speed Stacking cups, they were excited. Last year when we did these same activities, I didn't have enough for a whole class - students had to share or use cups that were not made for stacking.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue building their stacking skills by learning more complex patterns and incorporating movement challenges, such as relay races and partner stacks. We are also working toward setting personal goals and tracking progress over time, helping students see how practice leads to improvement. These cups will remain a valuable tool in our PE program, promoting physical fitness, confidence, and teamwork. Your support has truly made a lasting impact on our students, and we are so grateful for your investment in their learning and growth.","fullyFundedDate":1758822221105,"projectUrl":"project/speed-stacks-for-success/9716272/","projectTitle":"Speed Stacks for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Coach McGrath","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7119855_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y509&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1680621345375","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7119855"},{"teacherId":5717876,"projectId":8508869,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support in providing self-regulation tools for my students with autism. It's amazing to see how movement supports their ability to focus and engage in learning. The blackout tent has become a safe and tranquil retreat, offering a space where children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences can calm their emotions and alleviate anxiety when they need a break.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the cozy rug, soft pillows, weighted lap mat, and breathing bear create a comfortable and relaxing environment where students can regulate their emotions and feel at ease.
