Many of our students are interested in journalism and photography, so we have partnered our efforts, along with some kindness activities, to create a unique opportunity for our students. Your donation has allowed our students the opportunity to explore some STEM activities as well as different types of photography, including polaroids and micro photography. Additionally, we have been able to experiment with filters and how that changes the mood of the photo and lighting by using a reflector. \r\n\r\nGiven that we are a rural school, funding for clubs is slim, so your donation has created a chance for students to learn and explore new skills. Last year, when we launched, the club had about 15-20 students. This year, we have between 40-60 students showing up to meetings. This is exciting as the interest has grown. There are so many other things we have not had a chance to explore yet, like a pinhole camera and a lighting box. I look forward to exploring these new tools with the students as well.
