The new STEM resources have completely transformed how we approach learning. My students were immediately captivated when they saw the materials for the first time, there were audible gasps and excited chatter as they explored the kits, tools, and manipulatives. One student said, \"This feels like a real science lab!\" From that moment on, their engagement skyrocketed.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable projects we've tackled with these new tools was a group challenge to design and build a working model of a wind-powered vehicle. Students worked in teams, sharing ideas, testing prototypes, and problem-solving together. They used the engineering design process to iterate their designs, and we ended the unit with a mini \"STEM Expo\" where each group presented their creation and explained what they learned. This project not only deepened their understanding of force and motion but also strengthened their communication and collaboration skills.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include diving into a unit on coding and robotics. Students will use the new materials to build simple robots that respond to programmed commands. The excitement is already building as they brainstorm what kinds of challenges their robots might solve. Your donation didn't just provide supplies, it sparked a love of discovery and teamwork that will continue to grow throughout the year. Students can earn points for participation, work completion/submission, or even being kind or a good friend to a peer. \r\nStudents worked hard to earn their points and were rewarded with gifts of support from you.
