These items have made a meaningful difference in helping my students feel calm, comfortable, and ready to learn throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nThe spinning chair has quickly become one of my students' favorite tools. When students become stressed, overwhelmed, or have extra energy, they are able to use the spinning chair as a safe way to release that energy and regulate their bodies. I have seen students seek it out when they need a break, and it has helped them return to the classroom feeling more calm and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nThe hexagon lights have also made a wonderful difference in our classroom environment. The soft lighting appears to help calm my students and creates a peaceful atmosphere throughout the day. It has become a comforting part of our classroom routine.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially enjoyed the kinetic sand. One student in particular loves it so much that she reaches for it every afternoon. She enjoys the way the sand feels on her hands, and this sensory activity has become a favorite part of her day.\r\n\r\nThe emotional piggy coin box has also given my students another way to communicate their feelings. When students become stressed and have difficulty expressing their emotions with words, they can use the emotional piggy coin box to show me how they are feeling. This gives them a safe and meaningful way to communicate their emotions when words may be difficult.\r\n\r\nMy classroom project was titled \"A Calm, Cool, and Collected Autism Classroom,\" and that is exactly what these donations have helped create. These resources have provided my students with opportunities to regulate, communicate, explore, and feel more comfortable in their learning environment. They have also provided teachers with valuable tools to better support our students throughout the day.\r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for every donor who helped make this possible.
