We were able to discuss the tunes, and run several of them as a play-along. \r\n\r\nOur next steps are to host a two week band camp between Jordan-Matthews High School and Chatham Central High School over the summer. Many of our students benefit from the new handheld calculators you've helped provide. These tools have made a noticeable difference in how they learn and engage with math. Instead of constantly switching between tabs on a computer, they now have a reliable, efficient way to solve problems right at their fingertips. These calculators allow students to explore more advanced concepts—like using z-scores to calculate probability—something they struggled with before. It's exciting to see their confidence grow as they realize they can tackle problems that once felt out of reach.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students is knowing they can use these calculators on high-stakes assessments like the ACT, SAT, and End-of-Course exams. They're discovering that these new tools are more powerful and user-friendly than the older models, which is giving them a stronger sense of readiness for the future. A few students who were initially hesitant about math have started participating more, just because they feel more equipped and supported with this technology.
