Even students who are typically more reserved and the ones who don't always engage were excited and ready to get started.\r\n\r\nThe chalk really allowed students to take what they learned and apply it creatively and on a lager scale than would be possible on a piece of paper. They were able to draw huge, sidewalk-sized neurons around the campus, get creative, and show off their knowledge!\r\n\r\nThe clay brains was an incredibly fun and engaging activity. Students had a great time getting to create their own brains, and the kinesthetic aspect was helpful for many students to be able to understand the different parts of the brain. It was a great way to get ALL students engaged, interested, and bought-into the assignment, which was to take their model brain and explain its parts and functions to adults on the school campus. Your contribution will greatly enhance our students' learning experience and provide them with the tools they need to succeed. We are grateful for your support and commitment to our educational community. Your kindness has made a tangible difference in the lives of our students, and we are truly appreciative.\r\n\r\nI'm thrilled to share with you how my students and I are utilizing the new notebooks in our classroom. We received a generous donation of high-quality notebooks from our donors, and it's been a game-changer for our learning experience. When the students first saw the notebooks, their eyes widened with excitement, and they couldn't wait to get their hands on them. They exclaimed, \"Wow, these are so cool!\" and \"Look at all the colors!\" The tactile experience of holding a brand-new notebook, with its smooth paper and sturdy cover, was palpable. Our initial project was to create a \"Dream Journal,\" where students were encouraged to write about their aspirations, goals, and passions. The response was overwhelming, as students poured their hearts out onto the pages. The notebooks became their confidants, where they shared their deepest desires and fears. As we worked on this project, I noticed a significant shift in their engagement and motivation. They took ownership of their writing, experimenting with different writing styles, colors, and even adding illustrations. One student, who had previously struggled with writing, confided in me that the new notebook made her feel more comfortable expressing herself. She said, \"I feel like I can be myself now.\"","fullyFundedDate":1723353449868,"projectUrl":"project/interactive-notebooks/8622762/","projectTitle":"Interactive Notebooks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ruffin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7826485_orig.jpg?crop=4160,4160,x1040,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722985161358","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7826485"},{"teacherId":3962756,"projectId":8513982,"letterContent":"We are so appreciative of the materials that you donated to our classroom.
