Every week, our upper elementary classes gather to dive into these beautifully illustrated stories together. It is an active, high-energy environment where we don't just read text; we pause to analyze character choices, debate the visual storytelling, and immediately channel those big ideas into creative reflections.\r\nThrough texts like The Magical Yet, I Can't Do That Yet, and I Have a Superpower, our students are learning the fundamental skills of emotional resilience, positive self-talk, and perseverance. A major highlight was our comparative study of the main characters from The Girl Who Makes a Million Mistakes and The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes. By analyzing these two contrasting journeys, our 4th and 5th graders uncovered a profound lesson: perfectionism is exhausting, but making mistakes is how our brains actually grow.
