We have enjoyed reading this book as a whole group. With the book being a newly released book and movie, most of my students have not read the book or watched the movie.\r\nStudents are using their reading skills to help prepare them for their 3rd grade EOG test at the end of the year. Our class has also participated in culminating activities at the end of each section we read. Students have created edible robots, written animal migration Post cards about an animal character seen in the book, and created an A-Z storybook based on the themes, characters, symbols, etc. seen throughout the book.\r\nThe students favorite thing about the book (besides taking turns reading chapters) was creating the edible robot. Students used Graham crackers, pretzels, gummies, candies, cake icing and marshmallows to create their own version of Roz the robot. Students had a blast not only being able to eat their creation, but using their critical thinking skills to explain the what and why they chose the design for their version of Roz.\r\nI have enjoyed watching students grow as readers through this novel project. There are not enough words to thank each of you who contributed to helping my students grow not only their reading skills, but their love for reading.","fullyFundedDate":1739839045545,"projectUrl":"project/wild-robot-novel-project/9117520/","projectTitle":"\"Wild Robot\" Novel Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Yount","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4086070_orig.jpg?crop=1283,1283,x711,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739809298176","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4086070"},{"teacherId":8831326,"projectId":8972845,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations.
