The very first time we pressed a shirt, the students cheered and couldn't stop smiling. Many of them couldn't believe they had actually made something so professional with their own hands. That moment gave them such a sense of pride and showed them what they are capable of achieving.\r\n\r\nSince then, our students have jumped right in, creating designs, pressing shirts, and working together as a team. They love being part of a real business and seeing their ideas come to life. Every step of the process gives them confidence, and they are learning skills that go far beyond the classroom, like problem-solving, communication, and independence.\r\n\r\nWe are so excited for what's next! The students are already brainstorming new designs and talking about how to share their work with our school and community. Thanks to your generosity, they feel proud, capable, and excited about the future, and that means the world to them.","fullyFundedDate":1758842671355,"projectUrl":"project/pressing-toward-success/9703954/","projectTitle":"Pressing Toward Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10252296"},{"teacherId":9325011,"projectId":8766032,"letterContent":"The Enka High School Softball team has recently begun their season with the incredibly generous donation of new equipment. The entire group of girls were so excited and grateful for the new helmets, batting gloves, weighted balls, nets, and so much more. They were all so surprised when they realized they were going to be given new helmets and batting gloves to use this season. The entire team was able to benefit from improved safety with the new helmets and batting gloves which so many girls needed. Coaches have also benefited from the new equipment. The new nets/screens have been set up for batting practice giving coaches peace of mind while the girls are hitting. New bases and turf practice equipment has helped to save and improve the state of the infield. The Enka High School field is one of the nicest softball fields around thanks to so the kindness of people like you. \r\n This donation has also helped our program by allowing our team to practice and play with confidence. Having new and improved equipment gives the girls a sense of pride in their field and their team. Not having to wonder if the equipment will perform or work properly has been a huge relief for the entire team. This donation will continue to help and improve the Enka High School Softball team for years to come. Girls who are coming to the games to watch the softball team now, will in coming years, be the same girls who will walk on the field and use this same equipment. On behalf of the Enka High School Softball team and future athletes, we truly thank you so much for all you have given us and appreciate the donation more than you know.","fullyFundedDate":1731087971146,"projectUrl":"project/softball-team-seeking-some-new-and-impro/8766032/","projectTitle":"Softball Team Seeking Some New and Improved Equipment!","teacherDisplayName":"Coach West","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9325011_orig.jpg?crop=483,483,x0,y112&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757883567960","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9325011"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2338","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1042,"numTeachers":71,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":69,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.9,"schoolId":2338,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Enka High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Enka High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/buncombe-county-school-district/enka-high-school/2338"}
