Students who are working on behavioral goals track their progress using charts that also serve as reward charts, earning small fidgets as they meet expectations. Other tools are also available in our calming corners, where students can self-regulate and return to instruction ready to learn.\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were excited and eager to use them. Many immediately understood how the fidgets could help them focus, and they felt proud working toward earning rewards. Since using these resources, students have shown increased focus during lessons and fewer distractions overall.\r\nNext, students will continue using these tools as they work on current academic and behavioral goals. These small rewards and calming corner supports will remain essential tools that help students stay engaged, regulate, and continue growing academically and behaviorally.","fullyFundedDate":1760149418714,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-students-stay-focused-and-motiva/9723465/","projectTitle":"Help My Students Stay Focused and Motivated","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Batican","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9495332"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1948","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":356,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":41,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":59.1,"schoolId":1948,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Isaac Dickson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Isaac Dickson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/asheville-city-school-district/isaac-dickson-elementary-school/1948"}
