Teaching fifth grade math is my passion! I love teaching students new ways to view numbers, and how to show their learning with different strategies. Unfortunately, this involves a lot of seat work. Between my mini-lesson, rotations, and independent practice, my students can end of sitting for 2 hours. I do my best to get them moving with brain breaks and hands-on lessons, but they still need to have time for seat work. I would love for students to be comfortable while working. Flexible seating would allow my students to wiggle, wobble, or even stand while completing their work or even during my lessons.
