We were excited to receive our materials, from readers and crafts to the actual caterpillars and domes. Even some of our nonverbal friends were enthusiastic and intrigued by the caterpillars. \r\n\r\nThis particular project has become more meaningful for us as it was shared with a beloved staff member, whom unfortunately passed away shortly after completing the unit. She drove us with inquiry and encouraged us to use new vocabulary learned from the books, modeled genuine interest and always reminded it was time to record our data. With the supplies my students created a beautiful writers workshop bulletin board. \r\n\r\nI was able to print out the books to teach them writing strategies, I used the markers for projects, and the bins to create small task cards to foster skill building in multiple content areas. Your support is invaluable and it makes my job a bit easier. My students showed great progress last next.
