This project will reach over 180 students since three teachers use the same classroom. According to research, students perform better in thermally conditioned classrooms. Yet, my classroom has reached temperatures of above a 100 degrees Farenheit! When temperatures reach over 90 degrees Farenheit, my students shut down. To make matters worse, my classroom is located directly above the school dumpster, so when I open the windows, the stench of garbage slips in and my students' focus is diverted to the smell of garbage and on the flies and bees entering the classroom. I fear the months of May, June, and September! Please, help me!
