We keep food items in several rooms for students who arrive hungry and need a snack to get through the day. At times, we are even able to send simple microwave meals home so students know they will have something to eat over the weekend. We maintain a small cabinet stocked with a variety of items that students can access privately and without question. Some of our students are housing insecure or face food insecurity, and many are understandably embarrassed to express their needs.
