You may not realize how important your generosity is to us, but the appreciation is great. \r\n\r\nThere are so many things that make children \"tick\". Sometimes it is easy to overlook these things because so much else is going on. Being able to easily track these behaviors, good and bad, is a very valuable tool. With the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I was able to purchase an already-made, phenomenal program to help me track these behaviors. This is going to greatly affect my teaching outcomes and give me alternative ideas to best help children.\r\n \r\nWith so much research out there, people have created amazing products and resources for us to use in our classroom to enhance and use during small group instruction. I have a large wish list in my TeachersPayTeachers account to help support the beautiful little brains I teach each day. I have been slowly purchasing these items, but this gift card will be great for purchasing them.\r\n\r\nWe are so very grateful for you. With your donations, I am able to have the children be well supplied with materials for reading and writing throughout the entire school year! \r\n\r\nWe have already been busy using the dry erase table to practice writing words and complete sentences. We have also been playing card games to strengthen our skills that we learn each week. Having these cards laminated helps us to use them over and over again as they get well loved. The use of sheet protectors when working daily to learn new skills and words allows us to use the dry erase markers to answer questions and find the skill being taught in a word. Your kindness will put so many smiles on the beautiful little faces I get to spend my days with. I sometimes feel we do things for others just to be kind, but don't realize the impact it has. This is one of those times. You may not realize how important your generosity is to us, but the appreciation is great. \r\n\r\nI am fortunate that I get to work with children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. The needs vary greatly within these grades, but everyone enjoys a comfortable place to read. I work with struggling readers on building up their foundational skills so that they can achieve success when reading. This looks different at each grade, but in the end, it is hard work by the students that leads to their success. As a reward for their hard work, we do Fun Friday twice a month. This is not much more than choosing a book and reading on the carpet as opposed to working at the table. It is amazing how much the children enjoy this. To be able to sit in chairs and not just on the rug will make this experience that much more enjoyable! \r\n\r\nI have also started an after book club with some fifth-grade students. This is new, but something that I will surely continue in the future. I have books that the students can choose or they can bring their own. They literally just stay after school and read for fun. Then we take the last 10 - 15 minutes to discuss our books. This is a great way for them to share what they are reading and give others ideas of different genres that they may enjoy. This is a large group and I do not have seating for them all. This donation will be a huge help, and they were so very excited when the chairs arrived. \r\n\r\nWe are so very grateful for you.
