My English Language Learners absolutely love coming to class. They are always willing to learn, and their enthusiasm keeps me motivated to be the best provider I can be.\r\n\r\nOur beautiful, new Fire Tablets enable us to have a multi-faceted learning experience. English Language instruction encompasses the 4 domains of language: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. It can be very rigorous learning for some students. Having the Fire Tablets allows me to tap into their individual learning styles. Some students stay quiet until they are more confident with their speaking. The Fire tablets enable them to explore on their own. They seem to forget their reticence when they want to share something that they have done or discovered. Other students enjoy being creative with their digital work, often responding more to writing prompts than they would if writing with a pencil and paper. Their motivation is palpable!\r\n\r\nThese new Fire Tablets allow us to use our curriculum's digital components, which means they can do independent learning games and challenges that reinforce what we have learned during our discussions and workbook assignments. I can also assess my students and collect data in real-time, which helps me plan for more effective instruction. The best thing about having this technology is observing how the students take their work seriously, they are having fun, and not even realizing that they are working.\r\n\r\nPlease appreciate that my students know that their Fire Tablets were a GIFT from people who care about them.
