My students could not believe their eyes when all the boxes arrived at our school. We took our time opening everything and talking about all the different dollhouse people we had. Students who have been on the shyer side, have really opened up through this type of play. They are pretending to be mommies and daddies and taking care of all the children. My students have been greatly impacted by your generosity. When my students saw all of the materials they were so happy and excited to use all of it! It was amazing seeing 15 smiles all at once when I showed them everything you have given us! We were able to use these materials to spread kindness in other classrooms. Students were able to make gift buckets including sunglasses and bubble bottles. We were also able to use our backdrop! My students helped set up the backdrop in our classroom. The students and staff were able to take beautiful memorable pictures! We as well used the tablecloths to decorate the tables. The students helped set up the plates, napkins, cups to give food ad beverages to everyone. We all gathered together at the table and had many fun conversations! I would like to make this kindness celebration bigger and invite families to join us! They loved choosing different colors and creating a fun frame. My students have also been using the construction paper for so many different projects. The big paper has been crucial at our easel for creating big paintings.
