I gave them a few minutes to eat while they had their do now question, and there was more focus, less chatter, and overall more work done. I don't want to declare it a perfect class, because there are still those stragglers who aren't managing their time well yet, but it was progress. It was thanks to you that I was able to even begin to work on this problem - the snacks made a difference. As long as they last, I'm going to keep bringing them out for classes and to entice more students to stay for clubs. All the while I got to see the amazing artistry some students already possess. Others are at the start of that journey of being better observers and artists. All in all, this donation has made an impact that would not happen otherwise. Just having the right tape to add to the habitats made it easy for students to learn new names of the critters. Next week we will be using the tape on behavior choice chambers, and students will be labeling their variables for their experiments. Throughout the year, this tape will go on test tubes for DNA experiments, air quality samples, and more. Good tape like this is versatile and the quality makes everything stay on and come off smoothly.
