A special thank-you to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation for making this project possible. Your kindness has truly transformed our classroom in ways I could not have imagined.\r\n\r\n The impact has been remarkable. I have never seen my students so focused, calm, and engaged. The headphones have allowed them to block out distractions and fully immerse themselves in their work. For many of my students, this is the first time they have been able to maintain sustained attention for extended periods. They now rush into class each day excited to put on their headphones and begin their assignments. The snacks you provided have also become a wonderful incentive that keeps them motivated and encourages positive participation.\r\n These resources have elevated the quality of instruction in my classroom. With students focused and on task, I am able to provide more individualized support, facilitate small-group instruction, and introduce more interactive and technology-based activities. The classroom environment is calmer, and lessons run more smoothly and effectively. This project has dramatically improved student engagement and has given me the tools to better meet the diverse needs of all my learners.\r\n\r\nI am humbly grateful for your support and for giving my students the opportunity to learn in an environment that truly supports their success. Thank you for believing in them and in us.","fullyFundedDate":1758899153832,"projectUrl":"project/building-skills-building-confidence/9686002/","projectTitle":"Building Skills & Building Confidence","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lowmans","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10242948"},{"teacherId":9802811,"projectId":8875220,"letterContent":"Here at BSCD we could not be more thankful. The students as well as the staff are impressed by how a little bit of help went so far. As a former culinary student myself I understand the eagerness to want to try every food trend and technique not knowing that preparation and materials played a huge role in learning. We are sincerely grateful to have had our very 1st donation stretch so far.\r\nWith all our new equipment we were able to go from just the students watch me do a demo to everyone being able to follow along with me with their own set of tools. This has truly had an incredible difference to our learning environment. We are not exactly where we need to be but we are a big step from where we were.","fullyFundedDate":1736517389444,"projectUrl":"project/creating-delicious-discoveries-in-the-cl/8875220/","projectTitle":"Creating Delicious Discoveries in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Coffey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9802811_orig.jpg?crop=1095,1095,x0,y80&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728778984734","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9802811"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_817","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":162,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":69,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":"4.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.3,"schoolId":817,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS K753 School for Career Development on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS K753 School for Career Development","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-753k-brooklyn-transition-center/817"}
