I work with students with disabilities, and every day my students impress me with their eagerness to learn. With the recent move to remote learning, they continue to impress me more and more. I recognize how incredibly useful and important the combination of technology with hands-on classroom instruction is to my students. As we move forward to a new upcoming school year, my school is opening a new site and we require an abundance of materials, technology materials being one of the most important. My students grew up in the age of technology, and I see many of them excelling much more in their reading, writing, and engagement now that they have DOE iPads to use. Providing me with laptops for my new classroom will give great promise in addressing the needs of my students, especially because I now know so many great ways to use digital resources to differentiate and support my instruction.
