Our students—especially our young women in STEM—were absolutely thrilled to open the Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler. For students transitioning into adulthood, having access to a high-tech, cutting-edge tool created an immediate spark of curiosity, pride, and enthusiasm for our STEM cluster.\r\n\r\nWe have already integrated this multi-styler directly into our hands-on STEM and math lessons. Students are studying fluid dynamics and the Coanda effect, observing firsthand how airflow and pressure wrap hair around the barrel without extreme heat. During our geometry rotations, we use mirrors and styling techniques to calculate angles and practice physical symmetry. At the same time, students are developing critical life skills—practicing step-by-step sequencing, time management, and professional social communication as they work together in small teams.\r\n\r\nA truly special moment occurred during our first lab session this week. One of our students, who is often reserved and hesitant to participate during traditional math lessons, stepped up to lead a styling demonstration. As she explained how changing the direction of the airflow altered the symmetry of the curl, her face completely lit up. She turned to her classmates with absolute confidence, pointing out the geometric angles in the mirror. In that moment, she didn't just feel like a student completing a task—she saw herself as a true scientist and engineer.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next step is to connect our fluid dynamics and symmetry observations with formal data tracking.
