We are using the new resources daily during small-group instruction and independent practice. One standout moment was during a recent lesson when students worked collaboratively to solve a real-world problem using the materials. Students who are usually hesitant to participate were confidently explaining their thinking to classmates, and the tools helped make abstract concepts feel clear and approachable.\r\n\r\nYour donation gave you a glimpse into our classroom, and we're excited to share what comes next. Students are now building on these skills as we move into a deeper, project-based lesson where they will apply what they've learned independently and in groups. They'll be using the resources to analyze, create, and reflect developing both academic skills and confidence as learners. Thank you for believing in our students and helping make this growth possible.","fullyFundedDate":1758202729260,"projectUrl":"project/building-for-a-better-tomorrow/9432244/","projectTitle":"Building for A Better Tomorrow","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Sohan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10063523"},{"teacherId":9069268,"projectId":8843291,"letterContent":"Our students loved the cameras. They were able to capture the world through their lenses and in real time. On our neighborhood walks, students would take turns sharing the cameras to capture the things that interest them. Having these cameras have given them a sense of autonomy and responsibility. Instead of only talking about concepts or drawing about them, students can now capture their own photos and videos to demonstrate understanding. This hands-on use of technology has helped them become more engaged and curious during lessons. They are learning to observe details, think about perspective, and document their learning in creative ways.\r\n\r\nThey love having the opportunity to take real photographs and see their work instantly. This technology has sparked their imagination and confidence, giving them a sense of ownership over their learning while helping them build important digital literacy and communication skills.","fullyFundedDate":1729442858527,"projectUrl":"project/help-make-my-pre-k-students-photographer/8843291/","projectTitle":"Help Make My Pre-K Students Photographers!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Green","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9069268_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y76&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1703173697900","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9069268"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_521","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":123,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":66,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"8.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.2,"schoolId":521,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 44 Marcus Garvey on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 44 Marcus Garvey","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-44-marcus-garvey/521"}
