The color coded schedule helps to prime my students so they know what is expected each day. The students are excited to check in with it each morning. \r\n\r\nThe checklist feature helps them organize materials for packing up each day.\r\n\r\nThe rewards and routines features help get students excited about following classroom rules and completing tasks everyday. They love earning classrooms rewards. Our next step is to choose rotating table captains to allow students more opportunities to interact directly with the calendar features in order to check off tasks once complete. The students are very excited for this next step. As I opened the box with the camping gear they were so excited. They helped me placed the stars up, set up the tent and all the accessories. Then the next box came and it was the Fire Truck, they can't wait to play with this during our building unit. As the next boxes came the tree backdrop created a nice scenery for the children at their campsite. They played wonderful scenarios with each other. It was so nice to see the interaction and vocabulary.\r\nAs we wrap up the tree unit we will be creating a Fire Station in which the children will have the opportunity to use their imagination to explore the different features of a fire station. As they ride the fire truck they will imagine coming back to the fire station and enjoy interacting with their friends.
